- Gilles Wagner is an entrepreneur who has always prioritised the market and customers in his business strategies. As an industrialist, he is best known for managing and relaunching the prestigious Privilège catamaran brand in Les Sables d'Olonne. As a recreational boater, he has experienced the sea from the inside as an owner, renter and charterer of his own boat. This dual experience, both on land and at sea, has given him a keen understanding of sailors' habits, irritants, obstacles and selection criteria. He is now interested in new economic models that prioritise user experience, access and sharing over ownership. He has therefore created UPtoSEA, a nautical concierge service designed to support owners, renters, and charterers in their daily lives. At the same time, he is developing a range of eco-designed boats that are simple, reliable and attractive, powered by clean energy and built to respect the sea and its inhabitants. This new project was unveiled for the first time at the Nice Boating Tomorrow show and offers a radically disruptive approach to recreational boating.
